Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions

Abbott’s satirical and fictional masterpiece serves as an introduction to the concept and examination of dimensions of space. The narrator, simply titled “A Square”, describes the two-dimensional world around him, before realising that other dimensions exist, and seeking to have adventures there. It is an extremely original and quirky, and a subtle commentary on Victorian society.
“Flatland: A Romance Of Many Dimensions” is a charming and stimulating novel, and is a surprising one hundred and thirty years old. It entertains while educating.

Format: Book (Paperback)

  1. I never really was very good at science, but the video shown during the presentation and the books and documentaries on here have me interested to learn more. Flatland especially has me interested, it sounds great! I like the theme of the blog, it works well, but the white seems to wash out a bit, making it hard to read. Aside from that I think it's an interesting and different subject, which will definitely get people reading about a topic they might never have thought about looking into before.
